my hopes for tomodachi life: living the dream
3/6/26
with only a few weeks and a few days until tomodachi life gets a sequel (or third game if you count tomodachi collection), here are some things i've been thinking about regarding the whole... new system of everything.
- i really want married miis to be able to do more than just have kids. i'm really excited to be able to marry my friend's mii, but i don't want him to just be a ... prop in our house, like how stardew valley makes a character you marry just ... someone who lives with you. maybe little activities like them taking younger miis under their wing.
- friend groups! i know you can make and control who miis are friends with now, but i really want like... cliques and circles. like in the original tomodachi life where they had girl talk and guy talk, except it'd happen between friends who are already close, regardless of their gender. yes, i want to make the cast of friends... i just CAN'T STOP THINKING about making sitcom friend groups their own apartment.
- MORE JOBS!! i know that there are only a few stores and places where miis can get jobs, but what if miis can get jobs at other islands? very far-fetched, but it would be cute. they already have like zero communication features (that aren't local) but if nintendo changes their mind, like, ever... i would really like that. maybe more establishments too, like miis being able to start their own little stands (lemonade stands, etc etc).
- MORE nuanced relationships and personality's having more of an impact. felt like a big nothing burger in tomodachi life, like there was no point in being detailed in a mii's personality. i also think having more detailed relationships instead of just mortal enemies, bestfriends, and significant others would be so much more engaging. what if characters who have a lovehate relationship end up getting married?!
"i just wanna clarify this: are you outing mr. peanut?"

celebrity crushes & grinding in animal crossing
3/2/26
i am absolutely IN LOVE with matthew perry's face. he's super adorable. it's also super weird that, until reading a celebrity's memoir, they are almost like nothing burgers ... they're like when you talk to a companion in fallout, or free time events in a video game. hint hint. i felt this way for a while about jake gyllenhaal. didn't really care for if he wrote a memoir or not, but that boy is one handsome guy. a face like his makes you wanna watch quite a few movies with him in it. i could say the same for matthew perry. except, i REALLY hated three to tango. but i would watch it again to see him... do his thing, i guess. love that guy a little bit.
i've been working really hard in animal crossing and it makes me feel really need, you know? i'm so happy for the new updates. though, i did lose interest in the whole hotel thing really fast... kapp'n and his family are really cute, so it's worth it anyway. trying to fill up harvey's island....
